Location:  Diamond Hill Mine, Antreville,  South Carolina

Children are welcome.
Pets are OK - please keep them leashed at all times. 

Minerals found: 
There is plenty of quartz here.  Most common are gray, milky-smoky quartz and skeletal(secondary growth) white quartz.  Less frequent are amethyst and high-quality smoky quartz. 

Tools:
Bring any tools you are comfortable with, from screwdrivers or rakes for dump piles to hammer/chisel/pick for hard rock. .  If you bring a probe, you can search for float in the woods or in the large dirt mounds scattered around the property.  If you want to use a ½ inch screen, there is plenty of water at this location to check your material.  Bring rubber boots and a change of clothes if the ground is wet or there is a good chance of rain. 

Cost: Adults  $10.00/day, ages 6-12 $7.00, and under 6 free
