70,000 pound track-hoe machine brought in along with a new 10,500 pound bobcat 435.  We pumped out all the water and then pulled out all the detritus and muck.   We found one good pocket of very large crystals and several smaller pockets .   In the course of mucking out the hole some good material was pulled up.  Since running this equipment, I have found a whole bunch of scepters and large crystals. Without a doubt these same type things are in the tailings piles.   Fresh material is always being brought up!

A lot of the amethyst crystals are etched or have a heavy white coating but a lot are nice and some are super.  About 10 percent of the crystals are enhydro.

"IVEY FARM SCEPTER"

Pictured is a scepter I found on April 25, 2004  It is the typical Ivey farm scepter habit.   It is a large clear quartz crystal capped with a amethyst  crystal that is well centered on the stem .  On occasion, you'll find the amethyst to be off center or on the side of the stem and sometimes the cap is  double terminated. Sometimes when going into a scepter pocket you will encounter one or two crystals but often as not you can expect to find 10 or 20 or even more in a single pocket.
