1. GMS library resources are for the exclusive use of GMS members.

2. The books and other materials are divided into two categories:

a.)  Those that can be checked out
b.)  Those that can only be viewed in-house.
The in-house material will include rare, fragile, and limited edition books, magazines, and loose papers.  The Executive Board will determine which items will be reserved for in-house viewing only.

3. Members can request books from the librarian by telephone 770.248.3552 W or 770.682.9718 H or e-mail (Librarian@gamineral.org ).  The librarian will bring requested materials to the following General Meeting.  Likewise, items can be returned on library day, or arrangements can be made with the librarian to return them the following General Meeting.

4. Members are invited and encouraged to spend as much time on library day as they wish in the library viewing material that cannot be removed from the library.  Chairs and tables will be provided.  Members must bring their own paper and pens for note taking.  In-House Only material cannot be removed from the library for photocopying.

5. Each book is stamped with the GMS stamp.  Those that can be checked out will have a permanently attached sheet of paper inside upon which the return date will be noted at the time of checkout.  The
person checking out material will be required to sign a card with the name of the book and the
return date.  This card will be kept on file until the book is returned.

6. Books will be loaned out for 1 month at a time (i.e., from library Sunday to next library Sunday or from General Meeting to next General Meeting).  A book will be considered past due when the General Meeting or library Sunday following the General Meeting or library Sunday at which the book was checked out has passed.  While a family member holds a past due book, no other family member
may check out another a book.

7. A fine of $0.25 per day will accrue until the book is returned.  Once the fine equals the cost of book replacement, the replacement cost will be added to the accruing fine.  All accruing fines and replacement costs must be paid in full before or at the time of GMS membership renewal, or membership will be denied the family of the member holding the past due book.

8. Book damage that necessitates replacement of a book will be the financial responsibility of the person who checked the book out.

9. Children who attend library day must be accompanied and supervised by a parent(s) or legal guardian(s) at all times.
