Collecting a pudding stone agate near Horseshoe dam. . .
 [2005]
Some of us parked our vehicles at the bottom of the hill while others made the rough climb to the top of the hill to the right.  Those who made the drive to the top found out that they would be collecting down the hill in the washes!  The good material was NOT abundant and most of us came away with only a sample to say that, "we've been there".

(Red Jasper)
[2005]
Plenty of material to look through!  Lots of dark reds and gray/black agates but not a lot of really bright red cutting rough.  There was some nice brown jasper at this location.

We all looked for the most bright red agate that we could find.

The cliff walls where the banded onyx originated.
It was reported that a major auto manufacture had used this material to make fancy gear shift knobs.

Parking was not a problem.
