Limestone Canyon parking...
     [2004]

The jasper and agate rocks of Limestone Canyon.

The region around Mulligan Peak is suppose to contain agate nodules, just under the surface, that often have banded fortification patterns.  This was billed as a prospecting trip to find this location.  Unfortunately, the older couple who own the ranch next to where we parked were not at home when we arrived.  Some of us went up the canyon - NOT far enough.  Some of us (me) hiked up to near the top of what we mistook as Mulligan Peak - it was the next peak!  At the end of the day, we found out from the rancher the proper location for those "potatoe" agates with banding.

Another trip....  Another day?..... Another year?.....
