The Vagabond Plaza Hotel fossil show was a part of Marty Zinn's ARIZONA MINERAL & FOSSIL mega shows until he dropped this hotel in favor of new hotels for the 2005 season. [CLOSED after the 2004 show] Vagabond Plaza Hotel Show *"The Fossil Showplace"*
[2003] This was probably your best bet for high-end, museum quality, fossil specimens at the Tucson shows in past years. Another "Motel" show with all of the rooms occupied by fossil dealers from all over the world. Pretty much an equal distribution of countries of the fossil world. Most of the better fossil dealers in this show moved to the Inn Suites for 2005. The remaining dealers moved to the new Ramada Limited show for 2005.

[2003] Don't ask how much the dealer wants for these specimens. It takes about a month to prepare and bring out the colors in these ammonites. They were selling small broken pieces (2"x3") of precious ammonites for $30 to $150 depending on the amount of color present! I didn't want a chunck that bad!
