Savannah River Agate

The February fieldtrip was originally scheduled for February 17th to Girard, GA to collect Savannah River agate. Due to bad weather the trip was postponed by two weeks. Instead of wet and cold, we ended up with sunny and 83 degrees, sun protection was needed.

After a little bit of confusion about the meeting point, 25 of the 42 registered members (some couldn't make it due to sickness and other commitments) proceeded to the collecting site. Material was abundant and easy to collect. At three o'clock everybody went home, some with a slight sun burn/tan and good times were had by all.
